Well folks, I’ve made it to day three. My body, sleep schedule, and appetite have had to do some major adjusting, but I have to say that I would not change it for anything! To some this may seem like another cool teaching opportunity where I get to travel the world, but I firmly know and believe that Dad has something so much greater for me here. Although I may not fully know of it’s extent I am beyond excited to learn about the culture, the language, and the people here. I know that there will be tough days ahead, but it is still amazing to me how much this feels like home. I have Peace in knowing that this is exactly where I am supposed to be right now.
Here are a few updates for y’all:
· My body is really beginning to adjust! I ask that you pr for my allergy to gluten. It is much more difficult here to find food that accommodates to my needs, especially when this is not something that they see often. I know this is a crazy request—but I ask that you pr for full healing from this allergy.
· Today Heather was able to take me to get some groceries and show me around the city a little! It is a lot different than the states, but I am very excited to begin learning about this city and culture and how I can bring Love to the people here.
· Tomorrow I get to move in with my new roommate! #alreadybesties
· Today, Matt took me to get a new SIM card for my phone so I am able to connect with my new friends out here.
· Wednesday I begin homeschooling the girls! Although it will be nice to have a few days to accommodate and prepare, I am really excited to begin school with the girls!
· This weekend I will begin teaching ESL on Saturday and Sunday. Pr for my nerves about navigating there and back and also about teaching the students. The School has a driver that will pick me up, so that is wonderful news!
· Next week I begin with my tutor! I am very excited to learn the language!
· I am so thankful for my new family! They have been so helpful and I feel beyond blessed (and spoiled) by them. :) They have taken the time to hang out with me, show me around, help me accommodate, and invite me into their home.
Requests:
· I have not met my financial goal and I am still in need of financial support for this next year. Please ask for continual provision in this area. If you would like to partner with me financially, you can email my parents at [email protected] as they will be handling all of my finances.
· Pr that I continue to adjust to this new lifestyle.
· Ask that I continue to grow in a deeper and more intimate relationship with Dad so that His Love can pour out to others I encounter.
· I am now in the process of getting a work Visa, ask for His favor in this process.
· Pr that my tongue would become accustomed to the language as I begin with my tutor in the next week.
Thank you for all your love and support!
